If you give your Jack Russell a soccer ball...

she will have lots of fun! So for about a year now Maggie has been playing in our little backyard with the soccer ball... we have finally bought one she hasn't destroyed. Needless to say it is an everyday activity in our house... she has lots of energy and about 5-10 minutes of this leaves her panting hard and the tongue to the ground. I must admit she has a lot of skill. She will get the ball and push it around with her nose and if it gets past her she will boot it back up to her face with the side of her bum. She has great ball control. We kick it and she takes off after it and pushes it back to us. She likes for it to get caught in the bushes or up on the bank in some trees so she can anchor it against the roots and try and dig her teeth into it.. yeah she wants to eat it. It is hilarious to see her going really fast and then roll right over the ball which happens often. So while our dog has "issues" she does have the redeeming quality of being pretty athletic.But really, aren't all Jack Russells? Her other favorite thing is the water hose and chasing the water. We don't do it too much bc she will run until her paws are bleeding and our backyard is already so wet from the sprinklers they run too often. It is a treat when we get the water house out to play.
