The girls and I headed to Little Rock to visit with my Dad and Julie for a week. I was really dreading the drive alone, however it wasn't all that bad. It was definitely challenging but we made it and the girls did fine watching Baby Einstein videos over and over. We were able to visit with many of our family members as well as I was able to see many of my friends. We had a great time visiting. Again, I am pathetic and didn't take ONE picture with my camera. Thankfully my dad took a bunch but I managed to get off without the pictures saved to a thumbdrive. It is in the mail though, so I will share them once I receive the pics. The trip was a lot of fun.
The girls are doing great. Babyhood has passed us by and we have swiftly entered toddlerhood. (sigh...I miss my babies). They are funny little girls and keep us laughing with all of their new antics. They both are doing "Peek a boo" and covering up their faces when you say "where is LK or Ellie"? They are in to chasing each other and grabbing a hold of each other giggling. They also like to be chased and will run from us. Ellie's favorite time to take off is right after bath and we are trying to dress her. Lindley Kate has started spinning around, but she loses her balance pretty quickly. Our walking but wobbly girls have many bruises on their knees and legs They both love reading books and playing together in their play area, however most of their play is parallel. The girls have proven they aren't too young for mischief...we have caught them playing in the toilet (gross!!). Needless to say lids are down and bathroom doors are closed. They are into opening up cabinets and the pantry door and emptying the shelf on the door. We need to babyproof asap!
My girls are great eaters. Lindley Kate's favorites include milk, broccoli, grapes, strawberries, mac and cheese, rice, ritz crackers, teddy grahams and french fries. She has cut 4 teeth on top in the past 2 weeks (slightly unpleasant) and has two on the bottom. She sleeps very well about 12-13 hours each night so long as she isn't teething :). She has a calm demeanor and sweet disposition. LK is laid back, easy going, and loves to be held. She has a quiet and angelic sounding voice. She is a little more cautious when it comes to new people. She is pretty talkative and concentrates hard on what she is trying to say especially if she is trying to repeat what you have said. She loves her daddy very much but is definitely a momma's girl.
Ellie's favorite foods include milk, sweet peas, strawberries, bananas, yogurt, eggs, all crackers and bread, rice, tator tots, french fries and ketchup! She has 4 teeth on top and 4 on the bottom. She also sleep 12-13 hours a night. Ellie is lively and has a high spirited personality that exudes confidence. The child is fearless and clueless when it comes to danger! She is very active and always on the go. She also has a sweet disposition. There is no shortage of big smiles and sweet hugs from this little girl. She tends to be on the "loud" side and has no problem letting us know when she is unhappy or when she wants something...we hear her loud and clear :) She is quite the daddy's girl also!
We are enjoying Florida. It is very hot here now so we are planning our days around the heat of the day. The girls love the pool, however my girls switch personalities in the pool. LK becomes wild, loud, and fearless. Ellie becomes quiet, subdued, and relaxed. It is pretty funny to see. We have made a handful of friends and have found a church. No complaints from here! We have not made up our mind about staying in or getting out of the military. We are truly so uncertain about William's decision. Time will tell and thankfully we have time but the uncertainty is frustrating. We shall see!
Ellie, after she finished eating a cupcake. She was back in forth bw laughing her heart out and crying.
